2020 is a great challenge for many companies, and Interoceanica has been no different. The new Coronavirus pandemic arrived without warning and in a short time tested the adaptability and resilience of employees, suppliers and business partners. Here, we go to great lengths to keep our customers’ logistics in full swing, and in addition to not stopping, we put our logistical expertise in favor of combating Covid-19.
In May, in partnership with Intrading Global, Interoceanica made two air shipments of hospital respirators possible for the Maranhão state government. At the time, we were responsible for transporting the volumes on the stretch between Guarulhos (SP) and São Luís (MA). 148 respirators were transported, 80 imported from China and 68 manufactured nationally in Cotia-SP.
These shipments were a great achievement for the Interoceanic team, and they made us feel very proud, but there was more to come. In the following month, in yet another partnership with Intrading Global, we again made it possible to air transport a new batch of respirators to Maranhão. In total, 153 devices were delivered to treat patients infected with Coronavirus.
Our market allows us to get in touch with different situations that bring us great professional achievements. A transported cargo is never “just” a cargo, behind it there is always a story for which it is worthwhile to face each challenge and make it reach the destination in the best possible way. This time there were lives to be saved, is there a greater motivation than that?
